Affiliation with ![]() RNI has a strong relationship with University of California Berkeley's Helen Wills Neuroscience Institute. The Helen Wills Neuroscience Institute with its strength in disciplinary diversity is partnering with RNI to augment its training and research programs in the area of Computational Neuroscience. Graduate Student Rotation: UC Berkeley students who are interested in cortical theory are invited to visit RNI or do a graduate rotation at RNI. Students will be welcome to carry out rotations at RNI starting in the summer of 2004. Research Opportunities: UC Berkeley students can perform their Ph.D. studies at RNI with academic supervision from UC Berkeley professors. For students choosing to do theoretical neuroscience thesis work at RNI, arrangements will be made with the Head of the Neuroscience Graduate Program to accommodate the coursework and teaching responsibilities on the UC Berkeley campus required for progress to the PhD in Neuroscience. RNI Fellowships in Computational Neuroscience: RNI is funding two UC Berkeley graduate fellowship positions in systems/cognitive/computational neuroscience for the 2004-05 and 2005-06 academic years. These fellowships will be administered by UC Berkeley's Helen Wills Neuroscience Institute. Graduate Course Collaboration: RNI staff and UC Berkeley faculty are co-teaching a graduate course, "Topics in Theoretical and Computational Neuroscience".
