Abstract:

Color information is represented in distinct retinal cell populations which in turn project to distinct V1 layers. Several studies suggest that this segregation of color signals continues beyond V1, but the underlying architecture is unclear. We measured responses to color in human visual cortex using functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI). I will describe some latest results regarding to the cortical functional organization for color processing.
